Commissioning Connected. CxLens is a tech-enabled service built for small commissioning firms navigating their share of large-scale construction projects — providing the tooling and support to manage schedules, track progress, and clearly report to clients on critical systems.
- Built the POC and MVP for all core platform components — including P6/MS Project schedule parsing, CxAlloy data harvesting, stale information detection, and automated checklist-to-calendar sync between CxAlloy and TeamUp.
- Developed AI-assisted schedule-to-checklist syncing and an AI question-answering layer that allows commissioning teams to query their own project data for real-time answers.
- Managed engineering delivery of a multi-tenant SaaS platform with client dashboards, internal workflow tooling, planned date management, and file upload infrastructure for commissioning teams serving hyper-scale data centers.
Co-Founder / Chief Technologist
Feb 2024 – PresentAsheville, NC
Our work spans architecture-led infill development and technical consulting across the prefab, modular, and high-performance building sectors, including the software systems that support them.
- Developed a custom commissioning dashboard for a client serving hyper-scale data centers, enabling real-time progress reporting to their customers and wider project teams — work that became the foundation for CxLens.io.
- Built internal full-stack tooling for cross-team prompt generation as structured input to AI rendering engines, accelerating design visualization workflows.
- Developed contechtools.fyi — a platform for quickly evaluating construction tech software, the markets it serves, and the pain points it addresses; it helps support AEC tooling consulting work.

Principal Product Operations
Jan 2022 – Jun 2022Homebound
Asheville, NC
- Conducted in-depth buy vs. build analyses for Homebound's first mobile construction management application for on-site contractors.
- Translated field feedback, market trends, and UX patterns into actionable software design decisions that improved user experience and workflow efficiency.
- Led cross-functional alignment between construction operations and software development teams.
Director of Product Development
Feb 2021 – Jan 2022Simple Homes LLC
Asheville, NC
- Led a Department of Energy project covering the full lifecycle — design, manufacturing, and assembly — of modular offsite panelized wall systems.
- Developed IronPython MVPs to automate Rough Order of Material (ROM) estimates from Revit, reducing communication friction between off-site and onsite teams.
- Hired a small team and participated in building a full-stack software solution to create wall panel geometry and automate ROM generation for estimating & factory production.
Director of Construction Technology (Innovation Studio)
Oct 2018 – Jul 2020WeWork
London, UK
- Managed development of BIM-based MVP solutions to enhance building design and construction workflows across 10 countries (Architecture, MEP, and building technology standards).
- Unified EMEA building construction standards across acoustics, unique space types, and high-complexity build conditions, integrating these into template libraries.
- Spearheaded launch of Headquarters by We — 16 locations across seven months — while collaborating with manufacturers in England and Poland to refine modular prefab products.
Technical Director
Jul 2017 – Oct 2018WeWork Japan GK
Tokyo, Japan
- Led technical design decisions for WeWork Japan's expansion from 0 to 12 open locations in the first year; onboarded new Architects of Record, Engineers, and Fabricators to WeWork standards.
- Managed the technical design with a 29-member design team, integrating regional insights and cultural context into global workplace strategy & standards.
- Partnered with Nomura, Sanwa Shutter, and Kokuyo to fabricate custom fire-rated glazed partition systems — reducing Capex while maintaining compliance with Japan fire codes.
- Introduced Pantry Operations Flow as a design review step during schematic — a communication tool for designers to get buy-in from operations & executives, and to gather feedback from architects of record and equipment vendors.
Director of Buildings Research
Mar 2016 – Jul 2017WeWork
New York, NY
- Drove a DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) initiative for glazed partition & kitchen/pantry delivery, bringing fabrication coordination upstream to schematic design.
- Built tooling in Dynamo to extract building geometry from Revit, run panel sizing, and generate fabrication-ready outputs — directly feeding factory machinery and on-site laser layout.
- Architected a supply chain MVP using Unleashed (a SaaS with a Python API) to centralize BOM quantification across regions for glazed partitions, prefab phone booths, and prefab pantries.
- Derived a global glazed partition standard (US, EMEA, APAC) that enabled regional bulk purchasing and reduced CAPEX for the Development team.
Director of Project Integration
Jul 2015 – Mar 2016WeWork
New York, NY
- Built and led the global Project Integration team across NYC, London, and Shanghai — establishing BIM standards and workflows that managed information flow from due diligence through construction.
- Oversaw implementation of reality capture standards and developed internal workflows to synthesize point cloud data into modeling, ultimately informing schematic design.
- Created training materials and facilitated new internal software rollouts that improved project timelines and budget performance.
Senior Design Technology Specialist
